          Sexting and Healthy Relationships Programme

          Commissioned by Cumbria Police and Crime Commissioner, Funded by the NHS

          'You' Decide'

          Sexting & Healthy Relationships Workshops

          Purpose

          To address:

          • The signs of an unhealthy relationship
          •  Identifying and understanding what is meant by ‘Sexting’ and ‘Sharing Images’ (with reference to localised jargon)
          •  The reasons why people get involved in Sexting and involved in repeating patterns of unhealthy relationships
          •  How and why images are shared,  where and how images are shared and how wide they will be distributed.
          •  Potential dangers of blackmailing or grooming resulting from images shared.
          • Where and how to get support

          Workshop Outcomes

          In line with Cumbria Police and Crime plan:

          • Help children and young people be aware of the risk of the online crime of sexting and sharing images and how to keep themselves safe online
          • Prevent potential grooming, child sexual exploitation and sexual abuse that could be a consequence of sexting and sharing images
          • Develop joined up and appropriate support for children and young people who have become victims of sexual crime through sexting or sharing of images and being involved in unhealthy relationships.
          • Identifying characteristics of and promoting Healthy Relationships
